Virtually Live London - April 22nd - Day Two

Day two takes us, and 160 buyers, to another six venues starting at ExCel London and heading west where we finish visiting the stunning Edwardian venue, No 4 Hamilton Place.

What does it take to convince a buyer that a venue is right for their brief?
There’s a lot to consider in picking the right event space, but one factor plays a part more than anything else. Seeing it is a vital part of the decision-making process, but with venues now closed nationwide and most of us confined to our homes, the chance for any kind of site visit is out of the question.

Yet for the industry to survive these tough times, agencies still need to book events and venues still need to take bookings. Not only that, but many venues and buyers have more time than ever to spend on research and training – in a different scenario, this would be the perfect opportunity to go and see new venues. Being unable to make site visits has become a hurdle, but it was one Patch could see a solution for.

The Format

Virtually Live London takes the regular FAM trip format and turns it into an interactive video conference designed to get buyers involved from home. Patch will guide the crowd of buyers around virtual London, from virtual venue to virtual venue, get familiar with the surrounding neighbourhoods and transport links as they travel around as if they were really there.

At each venue, agents will be taken around on a 3D tour or presented a sales presentation, with opportunity given for questions throughout to make sure they can get a full understanding of what each venue has to offer.

To Attend

Importantly, there is no cost for buyers or venues to get involved with Virtually Live London. This is designed as a lifeline for those who want to keep business as normal as possible, and get as close to the venue as possible. We’re passionate about making sure the industry survives these challenging times, and what’s more, comes out the other side stronger from it.
